THE BATTLE IS ON! I can´t wait! It´s November already. When are they going to say who won? I will check my mails every five seconds. I also won´t go to the bathroom in case I miss anything. ;)

Well done! It seems like there have been roughly 120 submissions. I just took part for the heck of it but now I am actually EXCITED.

Man, I should be doing stuff like this ALL THE TIME.

I wish you good luck!

OH MY GOD MEG HUNT IS ONE OF THE JUDGES. I love her (work)!!! Also, she looks pretty menacing. Oh god, if I get chosen to be one of the best three because of her I´ll freak out.

And yes, I AM pretty hyped about it now. I never took part in a online-contest before, and while I am quite confident about my own work, hoping for actually WINNING something makes me excited.

I am glad you checked out the racing cars sponsors - it´s a little joke for those who take a closer look ;)

Hey Maarit,
Thanks for you post about pens. It helped me in my decision to switch to graphite again. And you are right, fineliners are, while cleaner and a bit more convenient, also a lot more boring and less expressive. I never thought deciding between two tools (and I HAVE to decide, I just can´t have the two of them side by side, I am just too anal about things like that) could cause so much fuzz to me sometimes.

Pencil really is a LOT more fun, and that´s the only thing that really counts. I used to add contrast in Photoshop as well, which makes the results look more like charcoal or pen and ink!
