Something something

Vektorika magazine's topic for the next issue is character design, and I thought I'd submit a couple of images. I don't know what they're expecting really, I'm not even 100% sure what character design is. Characters, right? This is something I'm working on. Right now it looks like I don't know what I'm doing, and that's not far from the truth. I'm trying to develope my visual language for vectors (I haven't done anything purely in vector for ages), and I'm kind of starting to like the mess that's going on there. And I'm really happy with the colours. That's something.

I didn´t notice it´s all vectors until you mentioned it. Vectors are problematic once it is obvious from the first glance that its a vector image, but since you are rooted in traditional drawing, it comes out very natural and organic. Looks like a awful lot of work, though.

As for character design, I think it means something like developing a character that can be used in different situations, unlike a simple figure that is unique to each image. (Er, I hope you get what I am trying to say, it´s pretty late again.)

Anyways, your blog is getting better and better. No, wait, it was great right from the start.
